Kingston Coin Company

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What can I sell to you?

A. We are active buyers of all numismatic material, inclusing coins and medallions, and try to keep a varied selection of items available for purchase. Please get in touch, we can give a valuation based on photos, or arrange to come out to you to assess your items if needed. In most cases, we can beat an auction estimate from your local auction house, and you will get paid intstantly rather than having to wait.

We can pay via cash (in person only - not via post due to past issues) or most commonly, via bank transfer.

Please note: we are not dealers in 50 pence, £2 or other modern currency.

Q. Do you have a physical shop as well as an online store?

A. No, our address is a mail box - a physical shop would simply be too costly. We are happy to make meet in person, but by advanced appointment only. We can come to you or meet in or around Surbiton and Kingston.

Q. I have received items ordered but I have a problem - what should I do now?

A. Please get in touch at the earliest opportunity, we can sort most problems out easily and quickly. You have the right to return any item within 14 days in compliance with UK law.

Q. Do you run auctions?

A. Yes, monthly auctions via eBay and can usually be found. Please follow our eBay store for great monthly auctions with a diverse mix of interesting material.

Q. Do you do valuations?

A. Certainly, and this is usually free of charge for a quick opinion.

Q. Do you deal in 50 pences and other modern decimal coins?

A. No, unfortunately not. Due to the large number of emails we get about 50 pence pieces and £2 coins etc, we may not be able to reply.
